To put it simply, Lauren is A FORCE...
I worked very closely alongside Lauren for a year, both virtually and in person. Never have I worked with someone more dedicated and capable. Not only did Lauren fully commit to her own responsibilities, she also cared deeply about supporting those around her and setting everyone up for success - both the team and our clients. She is compassionate, honest, creative, and highly intelligent. I would honestly hire her in a heartbeat because I know she would treat my goals as her own and help bring my vision to life more vividly than I could imagine. What can she do for you? The question is, what can't she do. Just ask.

I cannot recommend Lauren highly enough...
She is an energetic, lean-in, get-stuff-done team player, an optimistic glass-half-full person committed to excellence, detail oriented and able to handle multiple demands with grace and panache. Her varied life experiences are an asset, giving her ballast that prevents her being buffeted by multiple demands coming at her fast. It was a real loss when she left Scribe Media, and if I had a role for her in my own company, I'd offer it to her.

To this day, Lauren is still my favorite person to coordinate and put on an art exhibit with...
I have had the great pleasure of knowing Lauren since she joined Arts For Life as an intern in 2010. Lauren’s passion for the program grew during her Academic Year Internship, and she continued to share her talents as a Visual Arts Teaching Volunteer when her internship came to a close. Lauren was dedicated to serving the highest number of volunteer hours at our Brenner Children’s Hospital per week from 2011-2014, exceeding our expectations along the way.
As program director, I observed her skills first hand and was astonished with her level of commitment and performance. Lauren’s communication skills, ability to adapt to the environment, patient relations, openness to learn, and success in bringing new and creative projects to her students as a volunteer met the level of staff in our program.
In addition to providing excellent service to the direct programming needs, Lauren was also very involved in our community activities. She was a key player in seeing through a successful first annual fundraiser that connected Arts For Life with families in our community in July 2013, and was invited to co-chair the committee for the 2014 event. She was the co-chair for an art exhibit at SECCA in the summer of 2014; this involved planning for the exhibit, developing lessons, teaching current volunteers specific skill sets so they could be involved in the creative side, working with patients and families, and connecting with the community to build a positive presence of the arts and healthcare.
After volunteering, Lauren was offered a position as a Program Coordinator to develop programs in a new area the hospital wanted to expand our program. She took everything she learned in her years as an intern and volunteer and grew a new program in the pediatric specialty units. She consulted with the other Program Coordinator in our Asheville chapter to build a successful program that saw hundreds of patients within the first few months, and has gone on to become one of our most successful programming areas at Brenner. She was a big part of another annual art
exhibit during this time.
I am certain that Lauren would still be on our team in some capacity if she lived in North Carolina (and I never stop hoping that she will move back here so I can work with her again!).
